Change doesn't fail because of a bad strategy.

Change fails because the system hasn’t been prepared for it.

Marchesi Advisory helps organisations design infrastructure that serves strategy; by aligning finance, operations, leadership and technology, strategic objectives become operational reality.

How a business is built determines what it can achieve.

Good organisations rarely struggle because they lack information. They suffer because making the right decisions becomes harder as complexity accrues, almost inevitably.

Solutions that serve only one function are bolted on. Processes that should be automated are performed manually. Efforts are duplicated. Controls become overly laborious. Workflow sequencing introduces lag.

The result: systems become disconnected, and suboptimal approaches become entrenched and unquestioned.

The impact of these deficiencies is often papered over by human effort or incremental cost, until a moment of strategic inflection, when these deficiencies become not just limiting factors, but points of failure.

We help leadership teams simplify complexity so running your business becomes easier.

“Ken has great vision. He sees beyond the numbers, shaping finance not just as a reporting function but as a strategic engine for growth and clarity.”

The problems we solve.

  • When finance isn't driving future performance.

Financial forecasts can be overly focussed on where the numbers will land, rather than partnering with the business to review the assumptions and make tactical adjustments to the direction of travel.

The right reporting at the right time enables those responsible for execution to change the course of future performance. However the usual scheduled reports might not be the best tools for the job. The reporting that works must be clearest signal in the room for where decisions need to be made to meaningfully impact future outcomes.

We transform finance into a strategic business partner, providing the numbers that are actually needed to make decisions across the business, and reducing the reporting burden on individual departments without losing transparency.

  • When growth outpaces your infrastructure.

Your strategy is clear and your people are capable, but your systems haven’t kept pace.

We help design the structure, systems and sequencing that allow your business to expand and scale with confidence.

  • When teams are pulling in different directions.

Different teams are working from different information and priorities drift. Often causing conflict between departments.

We align reporting, governance and goals so leadership teams can make decisions both vertically and horizontal.

  • When decisions aren’t clear cut.

During periods of growth, transformation or uncertainty, the decisions leaders make can define an organisation's future.

We provide experienced executive leadership and strategic judgement to help organisations navigate their most important moments.
